Dale McCord, 45, of Manalapan Township, was sentenced to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
He previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute cocaine and a weapons offense, Billhimer said.
McCord was arrested as a part of “Operation Checkmate” a four-month-long multi-jurisdictional investigation into drug dealing in Ocean, Monmouth, and Middlesex Counties, as well as New York City. The three cocaine networks were responsible for importing more than three kilograms of cocaine per week, Billhimer said.
On Oct. 26, 2021, detectives made a warranted search at McCord’s residence in Manalapan Township. Detectives seized approximately 955 grams of cocaine, three handguns, and $2,100 cash, Billhimer said.
McCord was arrested at the residence and has been held in the Ocean County Jail ever since.
